Due to a high demand and limited funds allocated to the college by the government, the 16-19 Discretionary Bursary and the T Level Bursary are now closed for 26/27. We are unable to accept further applications for these bursaries.
We will continue to process applications for Free College Meals, 16-19 Vulnerable Bursary, Adult Skills Fund 19+ Bursary, Advanced Learning Loan Bursary and Care Leaver Apprenticeship Bursary.
The funds allocated to the college are limited and awarded on a first come, first served basis.
Important information about applying for a bursary at North Hertfordshire College, please read before you apply.
To make a bursary application you will must be enrolled on a course at North Hertfordshire College. Enrolment takes place at the end of August at one of our campuses; this is when you will receive your student ID badge.
Once you have enrolled, please use the ‘Register’ section below to create a Pay My Student bursary postal account using your college ID number, date of birth and set a memorable password. Once you have followed the registration steps you will be required to activate your Pay My Student account via email, please check your junk/spam folder.
The registration for the bursary portal, Pay My Student, is not the same as your registration with the college.

The bursary portal is where if you can apply, view your payment including expected dates, view any letters sent to you by the team regarding your bursary and manage your account. We encourage learners with a bursary to access the portal throughout the year.
Please note, if you are having difficulty in registering after you have enrolled, you may need to leave our systems a few hours, sometimes overnight, to update before you apply for bursary.
